Mr. Michael Tong Wai Siong, who raised three boys of different faith as his own children over the past 16 years, has won the National Press Club Malaysia-MACROKIOSK Muhibbah Awards 2024.

Judges comprising media editors have recognised Mr. Michael Tong Wai Siong for being the living example of true Malaysian Muhibbah spirit by raising the three boys - Rafie Ahmad Fauzi, Rasyid, and Abdul Rahman - like his own sons, proving that familial bonds can be forged despite different racial and religious background.

Dato’ Kenny Goh (Co-Founder, MACROKIOSK) in congratulating Tong, said,"His selfless act of kindness exemplifies the Muhibbah spirit that we, as Malaysians, hold dear. His unwavering commitment to uplifting the lives of the three brothers, despite being of a different faith, is truly commendable.”

The NPC-MACROKIOSK Muhibbah Awards is an award series that recognises any individual, group or organisation that best exemplifies the true spirit of Muhibbah in Malaysia. Groups of 28 media editors from leading media establishments take turns to evaluate nominees for the award.
