After heralding pharmaceutical markets in Vietnam and Thailand, Goldis plans to broaden its scope in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Meanwhile, business outlook of Gold IS' Internet broadband solutions provider Macro Kiosk Sdn. Bhd. is very optimistic and is estimated to be listed in MESDAQ within 3 years.

When discussing future prospects, Gold IS Investment CEO said that at the meantime their debts rate is low. With 30 million cash in possession, they plan to seek investment opportunities beyond the manufacturing industry.

On average, Gold IS wholly owned subsidiary company HOE Sdn. Bhd., introduces 2 new products every year to expand its market revenues. HOE already has a market in both Singapore and Malaysia, this year they are initiating sales into Thailand and Vietnam. The following step would be to expand sales into Hong Kong and Taiwan.

"When HOE uses the strategy to induce markets abroad, it is estimated that the export revenues are able to increase from the 30% now to 70% in the future. In 2002, HOE's annual treasury revenues reached RM 43.4 million, which was a 49.1% increase from the previous RM29.1 million."

She also added that Macro Kiosk is advancing on the information and telecommunication businesses and is having a very optimistic future outlook that would enable the company to be listed in MESDAQ within the next 3 years.

At the same time, Gold IS telecommunications Sdn. Bhd. is also growing consistently. In the development sector, the company has 29.44% shares in IGB Bhd. and the which net profit in 2002 has increased 56.1% to RM 78.8 million.
