PETALING JAYA: Leading mobile messaging technology enabler in Asia Macro Kiosk Sdn Bhd expects 10% to 20% growth in revenue over the next six months through its partnership with mTN Global Inc. a leading mobile services marketplace.
Macro Kiosk chief executive officer Kenny Goh said the company was now able to offer customers direct access to mobile markets in Central America, the Middle East, Europe, Africa and India to achieve growth through its tie-up with mTN Global.
"Macro Kiosk is proud to be invited as the only Asian mobile messaging technology enabler to join the mTN network. This means content providers (CP) in Malaysia, and countries we are in - Brunei, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines - can reach the global market through us," he told reporters at the signing ceremony with mTN Global chief executive officer and co-founder Paul McGuire.
Explaining how it worked, Goh said that if Macro Kiosk's CP wanted to penetrate Saudi Arabia for instance, Macro Kiosk would leverage on its partnership with mTN Global to pave the way for the CP to reach mobile users in Saudi Arabia. Similarly, if mTN Global's CP wanted to market its content to China, Macro Kiosk would clear the path as well.
Macro Kiosk recorded revenue of RM40.66mil in the financial year ended Jan 31. In the first half ended July 31, its revenue was RM17.51mill. A subsidiary of Goldis Bhd, Macro Kiosk's etracker provides messaging connectivity to 364 mobile operators in over 115 countries and serves clients from 18 different industries including banking, logistics and entertainment.
